Tokoh Reggae Indonesia yang Perlu Diketahui



Reggae merupakan salah satu jenis musik yang memiliki perbedaan yang cukup mendasar dengan musik lainnya. Musik yang satu ini telah ada sejak puluhan tahun yang silam, yang pada awalnya lahir dan berkembang di Jamaika. Namun kini dapat anda lihat sendiri, bahwa jenis musik yang satu ini cukup terjual dan terkenal di pasar dunia bahkan di negeri kita yang tercinta.

Bahkan hinga memunculkan klub khusus pecinta musik dari Jamaika ini, yakni dengan sebutan rasta. Yang kemudian dapat anda lihat, ciri khas dari pemain musik ataupun penggemarnya, memiliki penampilan dengan warna baju merah kuning hijau, dengan gaya rambut panjang dan gimbal. Hal tersebut memang karena pada awalanya lahir dari kalangan orang yang miskin dan dari jalanan.

Namun, tidak sedikit pula yang memiliki anggapan yang negatif akan musik reggae, karena mungkin mereka yang memiliki anggapan seperti itu melihatnya hanya dari penampilan atau pun dari isi lagu yang mereka dendangkan. Yang memandang para rastaman atau rastafari menggunakan barang haram seperti ganja, alkohol dan lain sebagainya.

Padahal sesungguhnya tidak seperti itu, di mana mereka hanya membawakan sebuah lagu yang mewakilkan perasaannya akan harapan mendapatkan kedamaian, kemudian sebuah kebebasan, cinta dan hal-hal lain yang bersifat kehidupan sosial. Dengan penampilannya yang terkesan kumuh, ataupun kotor hanyalah sebuah bentuk pembawaannya saja.
