A New Perspective on Coffee + Culinary with Illy

Le Méridien Bali Jimbaran gears up a joint cultured and interactive learning with Illy Coffee about the art of coffee-pairing cooking at WALA

Le Méridien Bali Jimbaran once again brews a tasteful day of discovery with Illy Coffee to affirm its shared commitment of partnership in providing the ultimate coffee experience to the resort's guests. The co-curated event named 'Premiere of A New Perspective on Coffee' will be held on Friday, 28 February 2014 at WALA, the resort’s unique concept for the guests to enjoy the finely crafted gelato, teas and specialty coffees by Illy Coffee. The resort's guests and local media friends are cordially invited to join the aroma-filled event and embark on an interactive learning workshop that will inspire the guests on how to creatively pair the tasteful coffees with succulent home-made dishes. The joint coffee + culinary culture class will be conducted by the resort’s newly onboard French Executive Chef, Hugo Thiebaut, and Asia Pacific’s Regional illyCaffe Barista Trainer, Eduardo Vastolo. The class is free of charge and will start at 11.00 onwards.

Teaming up with world renowned Illy Coffee, Le Méridien Bali Jimbaran will be conducting an exciting New Perspective get-together to further enthuse the coffee and food aficionados at WALA – the resort’s inspiring spot to indulge handcrafted gelato, to popsicles or sip the perfect cup of Illy coffee. “Together with Illy, Le Méridien’s exclusive coffee partner, we attempt to invigorate our guests about our pursuit of inspiring journeys of discovery through the perspective of coffee. This joint-collaboration has a deep meaning for us to establish our footmark as a new resort in Bali that is able to creatively orchestrate both exceptional dine and stay experience”, said Greg Gubiani, General Manager of Le Méridien Bali Jimbaran.
