Host and Judge of Popular Cooking Show Created Special Dishes for Successful First Anniversary Celebration of “Sip, Savor and Shop” Open-air Market Brunch
Sheraton Bali Kuta Resort is pleased to celebrate the first anniversary of its Sunday Market Brunch with popular cooking show Host and Judge, Rinrin Marinka on Sunday, August 31. Themed “Sip, Savor and Shop,” the weekly brunch event is Kuta’s only market brunch featuring a great spread prepared by the resort’s culinary team at Feast. The resort’s restaurant revolutionized Bali brunches a year ago by including market shopping at the brunch, which now includes free groceries for guests! At the anniversary celebration, Chef Marinka presented two dishes she created exclusively for Feast’s Sunday Market Brunch.
“I was thrilled to be part of this special anniversary commemorating Feast’s refreshed take on a traditional Bali brunch with an indoor market showcasing delicious serves from local farmers, artisans and vendors,” explained Chef Marinka. “It is truly a delight to create dishes for such an appreciative crowd, and I am excited that guests of the Sunday Market Brunch – which is unlike any other brunch experience in Bali – will be able to continue enjoying my exclusive dishes on the menu.”
The two original dishes Chef Marinka created for Sunday Market Brunch are Walnut Crusted Beef, a thick cut of tenderloin steak coated with a Dijon mustard and toasted walnut mixture and served with a creamy onion, garlic and shallots sauce, and Chocolate Cake with Chocolate Mousse and Fruits, a sumptuous chocolate dessert featuring seasonal fruits. Guests can experience the dishes as prepared by the culinary team at Feast or take home printed recipes to make the dishes in their own kitchens. Sheraton Bali Kuta Resort also offers a recipe package with all the ingredients ready to go, providing guests a convenient way to try Chef Marinka’s dishes at home.
“Sip, Savor and Shop” is the ideal way for the whole family to gather and enjoy a beautiful, leisurely Kuta-style Sunday afternoon in an indoor market setting at Sheraton Bali Kuta Resort. In addition to the variety of food selections and to-go items, the easy-going environment includes live entertainment, a children’s play area with several fun activities, and dog care. Chef Marinka is the host of Cooking In Paradise, a traveling cooking show broadcast by Trans7, an Indonesian television channel. She is also one of the judges of Master Chef Indonesia at RCTI. Chef Marinka, educated in French Cuisine & Patisserie at Le Cordon Bleu in Sydney, Australia, also studied visual communication including fashion design and art. As a popular television personality and cooking teacher, she combines her passion for food, culture, and art, and often experiments with ingredients and culinary styles, particularly Indonesian fusion dishes. Chef Marinka is dedicated to sharing Indonesian food, culture, and art across the globe.
Open each Sunday from 12 noon to 3 pm, Market Brunch at Feast showcases a variety of live stations emphasizing on authentic global cuisine as well as local tapas and small bites so guests can sample and savor a wide range of comfort food from Bali and beyond. The dynamic menu at Feast Restaurant, Kuta Bali changes each week based on the seasonal availability of local ingredients. Guests also have the option of sipping limitless Champagne, fine wines, or home-crafted fruit and tea inspired beverages. In addition, Market Brunch features retail stalls that offer fresh produce, groceries and pre-made items to go – perfect for guests who want to prepare for the week ahead!
The deliciously rich Market Brunch experience is priced at IDR 333.000 per adult and IDR 166.000 for children ages 4 to12. The price includes all kinds of freshly made fruit drinks, coffee and tea. A selection of locally-crafted beers, fine wines and signature cocktails are available for an additional IDR 250.000 and free-flow Champagne, premium wines from Starwood Wines of the World selection and spirits are available for an additional IDR 500.000.
