Fairmont Jakarta Marks Grand Opening with Gala Event

Celebration Includes the Debut of Luxurious New Suites and Trendy Dining Hotspots

Following the hotel’s soft opening in January 2015, Fairmont Jakarta celebrates its grand opening with a special evening marked with cocktails, an exclusive dinner and a special performance by Indonesia’s famous pop singer, Agnes Monica in the hotel’s beautiful Grand Ballroom, August 6, 2015.

The grand opening also marks the debut of newly opened facilities, making the luxury hotel the top lifestyle and entertainment center in Jakarta. The new offerings include the hotel’s stately Presidential Suite and Signature Suites on the top floor as well as an array of dining and hangout outlets. These follow the existing range of guestrooms and Sky Suites, the all-day-dining restaurant, as well as Willow Stream spa and fitness center.

“We are extremely thrilled to celebrate the grand opening of Fairmont Jakarta,” said Carlos Monterde, general manager, Fairmont Jakarta. “Today is a momentous occasion for the hotel and the Fairmont brand and we truly believe that the hotel is the jewel of this city. Aside from offering luxurious accommodation, exciting dining and cocktail options, we are also THE lifestyle destination for Jakarta residents. With each space in the hotel providing a unique experience combined with Fairmont’s signature hospitality, we aim to transform every moment into unforgettable memories for our guests.”

Fairmont Jakarta is the leading hospitality brand in the prestigious development by Senayan Trikarya Sempana, a subsidiary of Kajima Overseas Asia. With unrivalled views of the Jakarta skyline, the stunning property is located in the center of Senayan Square, a ‘one-stop’ complex in Jakarta's Central Business District that combines high-end shopping, entertainment, offices and apartments. The hotel neighbors and provides direct access to Sentral Senayan Office Towers, the 18-hole Senayan National Golf Club, Gelora Bung Karno sports arena and the Jakarta Convention Centre.

The hotel features 488 well-appointed guestrooms and suites. The 380 guestrooms include the Fairmont Room (49 sqm), the Deluxe Room (65 sqm), the Fairmont Suite (113 sqm) as well as Fairmont Gold rooms and suites.

Fairmont Gold is the brand’s exclusive ‘hotel within a hotel’ concept, providing guests an unprecedented level of service and luxury while they are in Jakarta. Fairmont Gold privileges include exclusive access to the Gold Lounge on the 21st floor, where guests can enjoy a range of benefits such as private check-in and check-out, breakfast, afternoon tea and evening cocktails, as well as complimentary use of the floor’s private meeting room.

The 108 Sky Suites with options of one-bedroom or two-bedroom units are equipped with facilities including a living room, kitchen and dining area that are convenient for extended stays. Fairmont Jakarta’s Sky Suites offer the best of both worlds – suite-style living in a five-star hotel with the comforts of home.

A highlight of the hotel’s grand opening is the official unveiling of the Presidential Suite and Signature Suites on the top floor at Level 32. The Presidential Suite at 303 square meters is the most luxurious suite in the city, equipped with an iPad control system, a large living room, dining room and a bar counter area, decorated with Balinese-style stone and wooden carving artwork as well as Venetian glass chandeliers. Its master bedroom features a one-of-a-kind painting by Indonesian legendary painter, Affandi. Its massive bathroom is equipped with a body-spray, rain shower and a Jacuzzi bath tub with a wall-mounted television. Additional features include a treatment and fitness room with a massage bed and TechnoGym treadmill equipment. The suite is also complemented with a study room as well as a service kitchen with back service access that connects to the butler pantry.

The Signature Suites feature three 129-square meter one-bedroom suites and two 172-square meter two-bedroom suites. These suites are equipped with a living room, a dining area and a service kitchen. In addition, all guests of the Signature Suites are provided with Fairmont Gold access and benefits.

More options of dining facilities are now available at Fairmont Jakarta. Aside from Spectrum, the hotel’s spectacular all-day-dining restaurant with a buffet concept, the hotel has now opened its highly anticipated K22 semi-outdoor bar on the 22nd floor. The trendy venue elevates the hangout experience, offering ‘Culinary Cocktails’ using house-made infusions, muddled fruits, infused syrups, earthy spices and savory herbs. The semi-outdoor space exudes an ambience that is dynamic and stylish with a direct view of the Jakarta city skyline.

Just adjacent to K22 is VIEW Gastro Bar, offering the best of creative drinks and culinary fusion with the highest level of ingredients. The menu consists of fun, modern small plates that combine traditional and international flavors with cutting edge technique and creative presentation. A superb view of the Jakarta city skyline can be enjoyed through its floor-to-ceiling windows.

For a more casual yet modern option, Sapori Deli on the 3rd floor offers Italian comfort food from delectable sandwiches to homemade pasta and pizzas – for dining in or grab-and-go convenience. Sapori provides an Italian-themed urban café where various components overlap – barista, gourmet retail, bakery & bistro.
