Joe Taslim has announced that he will be visiting New Zealand for the second time as the Tourism Ambassador. Last year Joe Taslim took his entire family on a memorable trip to New Zealand in which they enjoyed the many different sceneries and attractions the country has to offer. This year, he will again be encouraging Indonesian families to visit New Zealand by heading to the Kiwi land with his dear wife Julie to further explore the country and try new adventures.
The couple's romantic getaway will start in the North Island taking in the unique urban culture of New Zealand’s largest city Auckland, before heading to the capital city, Wellington.
In Wellington, Joe plans to visit Weta, the Academy Award winning company behind the special effects of The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit. Wellington is also well known for its café and gourmet culture so the couple will be making the most of their time, discovering the fresh tastes of New Zealand cuisine.
The couple will then travel south to the resort town of Queenstown, known not only for its dramatic alpine and lake scenery but for its reputation as an adventure mecca. From bungy jumping to jetboating, skydiving to horseriding, there is no shortage of fun activities to try. Queenstown is also home to some of Middle-earth’s most spectacular filming locations.
Throughout the week long adventure, the couple will be keeping fans up to date on their social media. (FB: https://www.facebook.com/joetaslim.page, Twitter: https://twitter.com/joe_taslim, IG: https://instagram.com/joe_taslim/)

We loved having them around the last time they were here and they have inspired many Indonesian to start planning their trip to New Zealand. As a country that takes pride in the film-making industry, being an actor himself, Joe will definitely have a lot to discover down here.”
Steven further adds, “We consider Indonesia one of our key markets, and are excited about the potential the country holds. Through our marketing, trade and PR work, we aim to help Indonesians realize their dream of holidaying in New Zealand. As of August 2015, we saw an increase in visitors from Indonesia, compared to August last year, with an increase of 30%.”
On 27 August to 08 October, Tourism New Zealand held a competition entitled #NZFamilyTrip whereby any Indonesian family can enter the competition by submitting a video outlining why New Zealand is top of their family’s list of must-visit destinations.
