The
Balinese religious calendar – a perpetual cycle of rites and offerings to
maintain a delicate equilibrium between sekala (the tangible world) and niskala
(the intangible, unseen world) – is based on deep and ancient principles of
establishing harmony between humans, the earth and God. As such, it is the
ideal location to realign your spiritual balance; to cleanse your soul and
achieve harmony in your life.
Bali’s
unique Sudamala Suites & Villas, Sanur has prepared a package specifically

pace and information overload of modern life, to reconnect with nature, and to
benefit from the healing, purifying essences of Balinese religion and culture.

Suite, Sudamala Sanur’s leading suite category for two persons (room category
upgrades available for nominal fees); one-time two-course dinner for two
persons with one glass of wine each at Ares Steak and Pasta restaurant;
one-time 60-minute Balinese massage for two at Sudajiva Spa; daily breakfast;
return airport transfers; and, most importantly, the ‘Purifying Waters’
experience at Tirta Sudamala Temple in Bangli – including English-speaking
guide, private car, temple donation, purification in the temple waters and
lunch of local delicacies. The entire package is priced at IDR 5.500.000++

Meaning
‘purifying water’ in ancient Sanskrit, Tirta Sudamala is a location of great
religious importance to the Balinese. Located on a river valley with verdant
hillsides draped with dense jungle, the pilgrimage to the site will take guests
to a side of Bali rarely seen by outsiders. The temple’s perpetually flowing,
clear waters spring from deep within the earth – pure, clear water which
nourishes the soil and trees, and creates a peaceful, beautiful location for
cleansing and purifying.
Tirta
Sudamala temple is located in Bangli, around one hour’s drive from Sanur, in
the same region as Bali’s most holy temple, Besakih. It is said that those who
are struggling with life’s challenges will benefit from bathing in the waters,
which wash away ambiguity and lead to spiritual awakening. The waters of Tirta
Sudamala are also believed to cure illnesses, cleanse aura and remove
troublesome mala spirits. It is an ideal location for praying, meditation and
reflection.
‘We
wanted to share a side of Bali that people may not have seen before,’ said
Sudamala Resorts’ Director, Emily Subrata. ‘Sudamala Resorts are well known for
our arts and cuisine, but we wanted to offer something new; an authentic
experience that would bring guests into contact with the living culture of the
destination. Tirta Sudamala is a very special, holy location and it is a great
thrill to be able to introduce guests to this unique spiritual journey,’ said
Ms Subrata.
