Romantic Dinner |
Only
in Indonesia with its kaleidoscopic array of cultures could you see such a
mystifying, mesmerising display of rituals, festivals, ceremonies and cuisine.
These accommodation and tour packages from Sudamala Resorts make it easy and
convenient to witness some of Indonesia’s most memorable cultural events, while
enjoying the luxury of a Sudamala suite or villa. Spa treatments and special
dinner menus are included in selected packages.
Wild-eyed,
fluorescent, animated dragons dance to the clamourous din of cymbals and
drums...this is the Chinese New Year dragon dance and an unforgettable,
cultural experience. From around the
beginning of February, Chinese New Year celebrations will be seen and felt throughout
the country. It is a perfect time to experience the culture of Indonesia, and
Sudamala Resorts makes it easy with the
Chinese New Year package, valid from 4-10 February 2016 at both the
Sanur, Bali and Senggigi, Lombok properties. This package includes a 3 days-2
nights stay at either resort, special Chinese New Year dinner, and airport
transfer for two.
February
is also the month for romance with Valentine’s Day falling on the 14th. This is
the time to show your special someone how much you love them. Candlelit
dinners, renewing your vows, a proposal perhaps... Bali and Lombok provide the
perfect setting for all of them. Picture a romantic dinner for two on the
golden sands of Lombok’s beautiful west coast at Sudamala Senggigi –- fairy
lights set the scene, as the sun sets in a blaze of glory over the silhouette
of mystical Bali on the horizon. It doesn’t get any better than that, and
Sudamala Resorts offer special Valentine’s Day packages in Bali and Lombok,
valid from 11-15 February including 3 days-2nights accommodation, pampering
60-minute couples spa treatment, romantic Valentine’s Dinner, and airport
transfer.
Lombok’s
Bau Nyale festival is one of the country’s more unusual cultural events and
must be seen to be believed. Once a year, the seas off Lombok’s south coast
come alive with the spawning nyale worms. It is an occasion of great spiritual
and cultural significance, as local dukuns or shamans will predict the coming
harvest based on the abundance of worms in the sea. Locals also stage cultural
events, and prepare the worms for eating in a variety of ways including the
Pepes Nyale, where they are ground, mixed with coconut and spices and roasted
in a banana leaf...a ‘must-try’ taste of true Lombok. Sudamala Lombok’s Bau
Nyale package available from 19-21 February includes 3 days-2 nights
accommodation, Bau Nyale Tour, hot sand spa treatment, and airport transfer for
two.
Ogoh-ogoh Festival |
The
Balinese New Year is a special and spiritual time to visit. Occurring over two
days, it includes the Ogoh-ogoh parade and the Nyepi day of silence. Ogoh-Ogoh
are giant, papier mache demon effigies. In the weeks leading up to Nyepi they
appear on the side of the road in all their menacing glory. On the eve of Nyepi
they are paraded through the streets, accompanied by music and dancing, and
then ceremonially burned. It is one of Bali’s most unforgettable ceremonies and
Sudamala Sanur offers a package from 8-10 March including 3 days-2 nights
accommodation, the remarkable Ogoh-ogoh parade experience, set menu lunch and
dinner, and airport transfer for two. In Lombok, the Nyepi package includes 3
days-2 nights accommodation, BBQ dinner, hot sand spa treatment, and airport
transfer.
Indonesia
is also home to a significant Christian community and Easter celebrations will
take place in March complete with Easter eggs, Easter Bunny and some local
touches. From March 21-29 Sudamala offers an Easter Package including 3 days-2
nights accommodation, special Easter dinner, Easter activities like egg
painting, egg hunt and traditional games, and airport transfer.
There
is no better time to visit Indonesia and experience its cultural wonders with
these convenient, affordable, all-in-one packages from Sudamala Resorts.
All
packages described above are priced between Rp3.500.000 -- Rp4.990.000 plus tax
