Restaurant - Outdoor
Set in an enviable and breathtaking beachfront position, the resort’s all-day-dining restaurant is a magnificent space that extends from indoors to outdoors fronted by stunning ocean views. Within a relaxed bistro-style setting of communal tables, comfortable seating and sun loungers, guests can enjoy a selection of delicious culinary fare, prepared according to Chef Stefan’s philosophy of “craft-over-creation”, emphasising the authenticity and quality of each dish. The open-kitchen concept lends a vibrant ambience to the dining experience and allows guests to interact with and observe the kitchen staff while they prepare a delectable variety of simple, light and healthy meal options. The bar is an extension of the open kitchen and offers full bar service, fresh juices, a large selection of teas and an elaborate barista station serving the best coffee in Bali. Mercure Bandung Setiabudi Save the Planet on Earth Hour

Earth hour is a worldwide grassroots movement uniting people to protect the planet by minimizing the use of electrical energy simultaneously around the world, organized by World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF). This campaign was conducted to raise public awareness of real movement against climate change.

In 2016, Mercure Bandung Setiabudi were taking a step in the action one-hour outage of the electrical energy. Held on March 19, 2016, hotel started Earth Hour campaign by drop a wall of fame "Hope for The Planet" to be filled in various writings about guests' expectations on the future of the planet. Giant screens were installed in the lobby area with Earth Hour video playback

Exactly at 20.30, lighting the lamp in the lobby area, Hardy's Dining Room, and rooms starts off, guests were lighted up the candles and invited to poolside area to join dots drawing, guests are free to draw on themed "Earth Hour" by completing the arranged points.

Heineken Live Your Music

Konsumen ekspresikan emosi melalui lagu lewat kombinasi teknologi kamera dan botol interaktif Heineken

Untuk pertama kalinya di Indonesia Heineken memperkenalkan sebuah pengalaman unik dan interaktif dalam menikmati live music lewat Heineken Live Your Music – The TAKEOVER. Berbeda dengan live music pada umumnya, di acara ini konsumen diajak untuk mengekspresikan suasana hati mereka dengan mengambil alih kontrol playlist lagu yang akan dimainkan artis menggunakan botol Heineken.

Pada sesi khusus Heineken Live Your Music - The TAKEOVER, sejumlah set playlist yang masing-masing berisi dua lagu yang berbeda akan ditampilkan pada layar dan siap untuk dipilih. Konsumen cukup mengangkat botol Heineken yang sudah ditempeli gel khusus berwarna merah dan hijau ke arah kamera untuk memilih, di mana selanjutnya kamera akan mendeteksi mayoritas warna dan musisi akan memainkan lagu tersebut.

Acara musik yang interaktif ini memberikan kesempatan bagi konsumen untuk menjadi penentu lagu yang akan didengar sesuai dengan emosi yang mereka ingin ekspresikan. Melalui eksperimen ini, kami ingin mengajak konsumen bergerak dari pendengar yang pasif menjadi pendengar yang aktif.”

Pada acara ini, Heineken mengajak konsumen untuk mengekspresikan enam emosi manusia, yaitu Adventurous, Liberating, Tender, Confidence, Lively, dan Hopeful. Keenam perasaan ini mewakili emosi yang sering kali muncul ketika kita mendengarkan musik, yaitu sebuah semangat dan dukungan untuk melakukan hal-hal yang positif.

Acara ini menghadirkan berbagai musisi Indonesia dengan genre musik khas, seperti Aqi dengan genre Dance Electro; Radhini dengan Pop, Jazz, dan R&B; serta Dendy dengan Rock Alternative. Penampilan mereka diiringi oleh Electro Cinaro band di mana para personilnya memiliki nama yang cukup berpengaruh di industri musik.

Etihad Airways: Air Transport World’s Airline of the Year 2016

Etihad Airways dianugerahi dengan penghargaan incaran banyak maskapai dunia, Airline of the Year 2016 oleh publikasi terkemuka untuk industry penerbangan asal Amerika Serikat, Air Transport World (ATW).

Penghargaan tersebut mengakui kekuatan kepemimpinan tim eksekutif Etihad Airways  dalam mengembangkan strategi yang menguntungkan pertumbuhan organik dan kemitraan ekuitas yang unik; memperkenalkan produk dan jasa inovatif; menciptakan fondasi untuk membangun tenaga kerja bermotivasi; dan terlibat dalam diplomasi, pertahanan bermartabat dari model bisnis dengan mulai bangunnya perlawanan sengit dari para operator asal AS.

Etihad Airways dipilih untuk menerima anugerah kehormatan tersebut oleh dewan redaksi ATW dalam kompetisi yang sangat keta, dengan peserta lebih dari 100 maskapai penerbangan dari seluruh dunia.

Penghargaan ini diserahkan pada saat Gala Dinner dan dihadiri oleh rekan-rekan industri dalam gelaran acara tahunan ke-42 dari ATW Airline Industry Achievement Award pada malam Singapore Air Show.

Tim kepemimpinan eksekutif juga harus secara jelas menunjukkan inovasi dan pemikiran strategis yang membedakan perusahaannya.

  • Pada produk dan layanan pelanggan, Etihad Airways digambarkan oleh ATW sebagai maskapai penerbangan yang berani dan inovatif, menyoroti pengenalan A380 Airbus yang unik dan interior kabin Boeing 787 sebagai pengaturan standar industri penerbangan. Ini meliputi The Residence – apartemen tiga kamar dalam pertama di di dunia yang terdapat di dalam pesawat terbang dan terdiri dari kamar tidur, ruang duduk serta kamar mandi.

  • Atas tuduhan operator AS bahwa operator asal Timur Tengah sebagai pembawa praktek anti-kompetitif, ATW mengatakan bahwa James Hogan dan timnya mempertahankan martabat secara konsisten membela model bisnis Etihad Airways' yang berfokus pada fakta-fakta dan bukan serangan kepada individu/pribadi.   • Atas isu keberlanjutan, ATW memuji Etihad Airways atas sejumlah inisiatif difokuskan pada penghematan bahan bakar, dirintisnya penelitian bahan bakar alternatif dengan mitra-mitra utama, dan melibatkan karyawan dalam program daur ulang.

Pada 2015, Etihad Airways meluncurkan enam rute baru di tiga benua membawa jaringan global dari total 116 lokasi tujuan dengan 121 armada pesawat. Lebih dari 17 juta penumpang terbang menggunakan Etihad Airways pada tahun lalu, meningkat dari hampir 15 juta penumpang pada tahun 2014. Etihad Airways juga meluncurkan Boeing 787 Dreamliner baru - yang pertama dari 71 pesanan - dan secara bertahap pada fase pertama menambahkan 10 pesawat Airbus A380 ke armadanya .

Etihad Airways diakui oleh dewan redaksi ATW untuk "pertumbuhan nan cepat namun bijaksana, secara konsisten meraih sasaran dan senantiasa berpikir ke depan." Maskapai ini juga disanjung atas "angka yang yang sempurna dalam keuangan, kargo dan keamanan."

Sudamala Resorts to Open 50-Villa Five Star Diving Resort Adjacent to Komodo in Summer 2017

Pioneering boutique resort operator Sudamala Resorts will launch its third luxury resort at Pulau Sebayur Besar (Sebayur Island) on the Indonesian province of East Nusa Tenggara, a prime jumping off point to some of the world’s most incredible diving in and around Komodo National Park, home of the famous Komodo Dragons.

Sudamala Komodo Villas and Dive Resort will be the only Indonesian owned and operated luxury resort in this region, which is tipped to become one of the region’s hottest destinations in the next few years, located a stone’s throw from the world heritage-protected wonders of Komodo.

Komodo National Park is located in the centre of the Indonesian archipelago, between the islands of Sumbawa and Flores, and was set up to protect the only known habitat of the unique and fearsome Komodo dragon (Varanus Komodoensis), huge monitor lizards that can bring down a cow or adult human, and represent a living link to the dinosaurs.

The national park was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1986 and includes three major islands: Komodo, Rinca and Padar, as well as numerous smaller islands creating a total surface area (marine and land) of 1’817km. “Sebayur Island, 30 minutes on boat from the nearest domestic airport of Labuan Bajo, is still quite remote, with the biggest resort on the same island now about 25 rooms. It’s an exciting part of the world to visit; Flores itself is 450km long and you have triple-coloured crater lakes, smoke belching volcanos, and at the other end they still harpoon sperm whales like in Moby Dick. Komodo is like a real life Jurassic Park, so that will be a big draw of course. But mostly, it’s going to be about the diving.”

Etihad Airways Delivers Another Year of Strong Growth in 2016

Etihad Airways, the national airline of the United Arab Emirates, delivered solid operational performance in 2015 by achieving continued growth in passenger and cargo volumes.

The airline carried 17.4 million passengers last year, a significant increase of 17 per cent over 2014 levels, and operated 97,400 flights which covered 467 million kilometres. The growth in passenger demand continued to surpass the airline’s capacity increase, underscoring the strength of its long-term growth strategy.

In total, Etihad Airways carried more than 75 per cent of the 23.3 million passengers who travelled to and from Abu Dhabi International Airport in 2015. With the addition of the airline’s equity partners that operate flights into the UAE capital, the combined total rises to 84 per cent of passenger traffic at Abu Dhabi International Airport.

James Hogan, Etihad Airways’ President and Chief Executive Officer, said: “In 2015, we were able to bring new competitive choice to millions of travellers, through our award-winning services and through the growing networks of our equity partners. No airline group is doing more to stimulate new competition in the aviation industry.”

Etihad Airways introduced six additional destinations to its global route network in 2015, with new flights to Kolkata, Madrid, Edinburgh, Entebbe, Hong Kong, and Dar es Salaam, and a new direct service to Brisbane.

Last year also saw Etihad Airways’ fleet boosted with the deployment of the Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner, which entered commercial service on routes to Washington DC, Zurich, Singapore and Brisbane. The Airbus A380 network was expanded with a second service to London Heathrow and new flights to Sydney and New York.

This year, the airline will commence its third daily A380 service to London Heathrow, and will add two new A380 destinations of Mumbai and Melbourne, while the Boeing 787 will start flying to five new cities, namely Düsseldorf, Perth, Shanghai, Istanbul and Johannesburg.

Etihad Airways increased frequencies on 16 existing routes across the world in 2015. These were Bangkok, Chennai, Dammam, Delhi, Hong Kong, Hyderabad, Istanbul, Jeddah, Kochi, Kozhikode, Melbourne, Mumbai, Muscat, Seychelles, Tehran and Trivandrum.

Complementing its organic growth, the airline also expanded its codeshare and equity partnerships last year. These partnerships delivered more than five million passengers onto Etihad Airways’ flights, an increase of 43 per cent over the 3.5 million passengers in 2014.

A new codeshare agreement was launched with Pakistan International Airlines (PIA), while Etihad Airways’ existing codeshares with Air Serbia, American Airlines, flynas, Jet Airways, Korean Air, NIKI and S7 Airlines were significantly expanded. As a result, Etihad Airways now offers a combined passenger and cargo network of nearly 600 destinations through its 197 interline and 49 codeshare partnerships.

In April 2015, the airline obtained regulatory approval from Switzerland’s Federal Office of Civil Aviation, FOCA, to finalise a 33.3 per cent investment in the Swiss regional carrier, Darwin Airline.
In June, Darwin Airline, trading as Etihad Regional, became the latest addition to Etihad Airways’ equity partners network, which also includes airberlin, Air Serbia, Air Seychelles, Alitalia, Jet Airways and Virgin Australia. Etihad Airways’ equity partnerships represent the seventh largest global grouping of airlines, together flying more than 100 million guests.

Etihad Airways also reported strong cargo volumes for 2015, with 592,090 tonnes of freight and mail flown in total, a four per cent increase year-on-year. The airline accounted for 88 per cent of cargo imports, exports and transfers at Abu Dhabi International Airport last year.

During 2015, Etihad Cargo enhanced its global reach by offering bellyhold capacity on Etihad Airways’ six new passenger destinations, bringing to 96 the total number of passenger destinations on which cargo services are currently provided. Etihad Cargo also expanded its freighter services to several new markets including Dakar, Nouakchott and Douala, bringing the number of freighter-only destinations operated to 20.

Etihad Airways’ fleet consisted of 121 aircraft at the end of 2015 (+9 per cent year-on-year), with an average age of 5.8 years – one of the youngest and most environmentally-friendly in the industry. The airline took delivery of 11 Airbus (four A380s, six A321s and one A320) and four Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft in 2015, while further leased capacity was also added.

To support the next phase of its global network expansion, Etihad Airways will receive 10 aircraft deliveries this year, including five Boeing 787-9s, three A380s and two Boeing 777-200 Freighters.
Mr Hogan said: “We enter 2016 with confidence as a stronger, more dynamic airline that will continue to support the evolution of Abu Dhabi as a global aviation hub. We continue to face challenges, not least the protectionism of the major American and European legacy carriers.
