Premium-quality
New Zealand food and drinks will be the star at The Dharmawangsa Jakarta this
week, September 2014.
Guests
will have the opportunity to savor outstanding dishes using the finest
ingredients from New Zealand, accompanied with internationally-awarded New
Zealand wines.

“New
Zealand is known internationally for its great tasting food which is produced
with dedication to the highest levels of quality, safety and taste,” says Tim
Anderson, New Zealand’s Trade Commissioner to Indonesia.
“These products are
increasingly available for Indonesians to enjoy atnd are the heroes of any dish.
This event is a chance for Indonesians to try some of New Zealand’s finest
produce, including halal-certified beef and lamb.”
Jamie
Hogg-Wharekawa, a New Zealand executive chef at the five-star Double-Six hotel
in Bali, will collaborate with Executive Chef of The Dharmawangsa Jakarta,
Vindex Tengker, to develop an
outstanding feature menu which includes high quality New Zealand selected
ingredients from leading producers of beef and lamb such as Silver Fern Farms,
Alliance; dairy products by Fonterra and Tatua; New Zealand Honey from Manuka
Health and Airborne Honey; as well as ZESPRI kiwifruit, pastry by Quality Foods
Southland, Whittaker’s Chocolate, and many others. Some selected wines include
Kim Crawford, Matua Valley, Astrolabe, Ohau Wines and Felton Road.
Included
in the promotion is a meat workshop by New Zealand butcher, Kevin Boyle, to
train chefs and F&B professionals on the special characteristics of New
Zealand beef and lamb. A cooking demonstration will be performed by Jamie with
H.E David Taylor, the New Zealand Ambassador to Indonesia.
In
addition, Emilia E. Achmadi MS., RD, a well-known Clinical Dietician and
Nutritionist with more than 20 years’ experience, will host a talk show on “A
Healthy Lifestyle with New Zealand Beef & Lamb”. The talk show will give
the audience a knowledgeable insight about high quality New Zealand meat to
help promoting their health and well-being.
