A Taste of Vietnam

InterContinental Jakarta MidPlaza takes a great pleasure to announce the next culinary event “A Taste of Vietnam” that will be hosted at Rasa Restaurant. Starting from 15 – 30 September 2013, Rasa Restaurant will present this regional specialties in an extensive buffet presentation for lunch and dinner.  

A costumed Vietnamese hostess will be on hand to welcome the diners as they arrive and escort them to their table, while the service staff inside the buffet island are using the famous Vietnamese hat. The ambience of Vietnam also enhanced by the presence of two Guest Chefs from InterContinental Saigon. Both Chefs will share their culinary heritage by representing Vietnam at its best.  

As Chef de Partie at Market 39, InterContinental Saigon, Mrs. Le Thi Lan Anh and Mr. Nguyen Huu Luc involve in the preparation and production a wide range of Vietnamese food. With their experience in the restaurant and hotel for almost 15 years, they will ensure the authenticity of each dish served and lead this this inspiring promotion to a success.  

This dining initiative celebrates Vietnam’s Culinary diversity where the food is prepared using the principle of Yin and Yang to achieve balance between all ingredients.

Savour some of the highlight dishes such as: Banana blossom salad with roasted duck, Stir fried soft shell crab coated with tamarind sauce, Deep fried prawn wrapper with Vietnamese net skin served with chili fish sauce, Hanoi turmeric pan fried fish with onion and dill, Vietnamese coconut rice and many more.  

“We have chosen Vietnamese cuisine as the first regional specialties promotion in Rasa Restaurant since Vietnamese cuisines has become one of the healthiest cuisines worldwide. They feature a combination of five fundamental taste elements: spicy (metal), sour (wood), bitter (fire), salty (water) and sweet (earth), and we would like to present this unique dining experience at Rasa Restaurant,” said Gary Palm, Executive Chef of InterContinental Jakarta MidPlaza.  

Rasa Restaurant will be pleasing plates with the taste of Vietnam until 30 September 2013 for just Rp 228.000++ per person for lunch and Rp 278.000++ per person for dinner. Table reservations are highly recommended.
