Beginning in May and continuing throughout 2015, Swiss-Belinn Legian will be offering an exclusive opportunity to take interactive Cooking Classes that will start with a Traditional Market Tour. The classes will cover topics from “Cook like a Chef” to seasonal offerings in Balinese/Indonesian exotic foods such “Pepes ikan wrapped in banana leaves”.
Chef Mustika has more than 10 years’ experience so will offer something for every ability level when he leads a series of cooking classes. He will share his original Indonesian/Balinese recipes and provide hands-on instruction, where class members involved will prepare all ingredients, beginning with an overview of the recipes then cook and to finish, sit down to eat while discussing the meal they have prepared.
In addition to his cooking expertise, Chef Mustika will demonstrate the importance of selecting quality ingredients. He will teach guests to use their sense of smell, touch and sight in order to pick the perfect ingredients for each of these time-honoured dishes. Sit back and relax as he demonstrates cutting-edge cooking techniques you can use in your own kitchen.
All are warmly invited to sign up for classes, which start with “Pepes, Kare Ayam, and Onde – Onde.” This is a casual, fun class with no previous cooking experience required.
Classes are $25 per person and include all ingredients, recipes, and plenty of tasting. Classes are limited to 6 people each session and advance reservations are necessary.
