New Zealand Prime Minister Creates Kiwi Kebab @ Baba Rafi

New Zealand Prime Minister Rt. Hon. John Key visited Kebab Turki Baba Rafi outlet in Dukuh Kupang in Surabaya, 16 July, creating a kebab from premium halal New Zealand beef for visitors. “We’re proud to be using delicious, safe and traceable halal New Zealand beef nationwide,” said Baba Rafi founder, Hendy Setiono.  

Mr Setiono says that the high quality of the New Zealand beef has been a factor in increasing sales turnover, allowing the company to expand internationally. “We currently have more than 1200 outlets across Indonesia and across Asia and Europe,” said Mr Setiono. “We hope to expand our partnership with New Zealand to possibly also open an outlet there in the future.  

Baba Rafi Marketing Director Nilam Sari says that the visit of the New Zealand Prime Minister reflected the strong connections that New Zealand and Indonesia share. “Using New Zealand produce together with Indonesian flair is an example of our tagline – ‘local goes global, bringing Indonesia’s pride to the world‘,“ said Ms Sari.
