Each chef will skilfully demonstrate and guide the methods and steps to prepare dishes of the highest quality and flavour, from ingredients preparation to cooking.
French Specialties with Executive Chef Thierry Le Queau
With more than 20 years of culinary experience and an illustrious record in Mandarin Oriental, Jakarta, Chef Thierry is a native of Brittany who has earned prestigious posts in France, the Caribbean, the United States and the Middle East. Known for his work ethic and passion for food, Thierry aims to deliver good, honest food using various cooking techniques and the best produce available in order to create a memorable dining experience.
Cantonese and Szechuan Specialties with Executive Chinese Chef Jeff Lee
Chef Lee is the man behind the success of Mandarin Oriental, Jakarta’s famous Chinese restaurant, Xin Hwa. Chef Lee was born in Malaysia, before he embarked on his career working in top Chinese restaurants across China and Singapore. Participants can expect to learn how to create traditional Chinese recipe with a modern twist.
Pastry with Chef Wita Girawati
Chef Wita’s exciting 10-year career has taken her from the Maldives to Jakarta, with experiences in some five star hotels. Chef Wita’s recent culinary training in LeNôtre in Paris includes working alongside some of the world’s most talented pastry mastermind such as Christophe Rhedon and Gaetan Paris, both of whom had won the Meilleur Ouvrier de France or Best Craftsmen of France. Chef Wita and team concoct an array of delicious treats offered at the famous Mandarin Oriental Cake Shop.
